CNC Waterjet Cutting Machine

Waterjet Cutting is a cold processing technology that uses ultra-high pressure water flow or mixed abrasive water flow for cutting. It is suitable for precision processing of various materials such as metal, stone, glass, composite materials, etc.


1. Working principle of waterjet
Waterjet cutting can be divided into two types: pure water cutting and abrasive cutting:

(1) Pure waterjet
Applicable materials: soft materials (rubber, foam, food, paper, etc.).
Principle: High-pressure water pump (3000-6000 Bar) pressurizes water and forms a high-speed jet through an ultra-fine nozzle (0.1-0.3mm) for cutting.
Features: No heat-affected zone, smooth cutting edge, but can only cut softer materials.

(2) Abrasive waterjet
Applicable materials: hard materials (metal, stone, ceramic, titanium alloy, composite materials, etc.).
Principle: High-pressure water flow is mixed with abrasives such as garnet sand to form an ultra-high-speed abrasive jet (about 800-1000m/s) to enhance cutting ability.
Features: It can cut high-hardness materials (such as 100mm thick steel plates) without thermal deformation and high precision.

3. Narrow incision · High material utilization rate
Incision width 0.5-1.0mm: More material-saving than plasma cutting (2-3mm), especially for precious metals (such as gold and silver) processing, it can reduce costs.
Nesting optimization: Tightly arrange samples through CAM software to increase sheet utilization by 10%-20% (such as sheet metal processing).

4. Intelligent recovery · Reduce waste
Breakpoint continuous cutting: After an unexpected shutdown (such as power failure), it can be accurately restored from the breakpoint to avoid scrapping the entire material.
Piercing optimization: Z-axis automatic lifting reduces abrasive accumulation and extends nozzle life (compared with traditional continuous perforation).

5. High dynamic accuracy · Stable processing
Servo motor + linear guide:
Repeat positioning accuracy ±0.05mm, speed up to 100m/min (high-end model).
